Reveal 0440: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - Original Video Game Soundtrack

Today we are looking at, the Castlevania: Symphony of the Night - Original Video Game Soundtrack. Remastered by Mondo as catalog number MOND-075 in 2018, for this original 1997 release. 

The cover has the album name, with Alucard in front of the castle in the background. The back contains the tracklist, credits, and Dracula. Opening the gatefold reveals an illustration of Maria Renard and Richter Belmont.

This release included an OBI strip with information about this release on the font and other releases on the back.

The album is pressed on two 180g Black, Gold & Bone tri-color records for sides A, B, C, and D.

Reveal 0211: Bear McCreary - God of War

Today we are looking at, the God of War soundtrack by Bear McCreary. Released by Mondo as catalog number MOND-129 in 2018. 

The cover has an illustration within a handprint. The back contains the tracklist, album title, and artist. An OBI strip is included with information about this release on the front, and other Mondo releases on the back.

This release includes two printed inner sleeves. The first has Kratos on the front, and a message from the artist and game director on the back. While the second has the boy on the front, and the credits for the release on the back.

The album is pressed on two 180g records, the first is bronze translucent with yellow splatter for sides A, and B, while the second is blue and light blue swirl with clear splatter for sides C, and D.

Reveal 0134: Gremlins (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Today we are looking at, the Gremlins Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith. Released by Mondo as catalog number MOND-083 in 2016. 

This is the deluxe edition from Mondo. The cover has an image of Spike, with invisible UV sensitive writing which will be revealed when exposed to sunlight (not seen here). The back contains the tracklisting, as well as an image of Gizmo strung up with Christmas lights, with additional UV sensitive writing (not seen here), the full scene is revealed across the outer gatefold. Opening the gatefold reveals an illustration of the moment the Gremlins hatched from their pods.

This release included an OBI strip with release information.

This release includes two printed inner sleeves, the front of each contains water sensitive writing (not seen here), with Gizmo on the first, and Spike on the second. While the back of the first contains the album credits, and the back of the second containing the musician credits.

The album is pressed on 2 LPs, the first is brown and white swirl, or Mogwai, for sides A and B. The second is pressed on green and white swirl, or Gremlins, for sides C and D.

Today we are looking at the Death Stranding Score, composed by Ludvig Forssell. Released by Mondo as catalog number MOND-177 in 2020.  This was released as a triple gatefold to cover all 29 tracks across 3 LPs.

The cover has an image of  hands amongst some floating orbs. The back has the tracklisting and album credits.

Opening the trifold shows the lyrics for BB’s Theme on the right. With the beginning of a surrealist image on the left side, which expands as the trifold is fully opened. 

The record comes with an OBI style promo, with further details about this record, as well as promoting other releases by Mondo.

In addition, there is an insert included, with a message from Ludvig Forssell on the front, and credits for each track on the back. 

The album is pressed on 3 180g LPs. Clear and black splatter for sides One and Two. Clear with gold splatter for sides Three and Four. And Clear with red splatter for sides Five and Six.

Today we are looking at, Death Stranding - Songs From the Video Game. Released by Mondo as catalog number MOND-178 in 2020.  This was released as a triple gatefold to cover all 22 tracks across 3 LPs.

The cover has an image of Sam’s hand with the Chiral Network keys floating above. The back shows Higgs holding his golden skull mask, as well as the track listing.

Opening the trifold shows some tasty Cryptobiotes on the right side. With the beginning of a stylized landscape on the left side, which expands as the trifold is fully opened. 

The record comes with an OBI style promo strip, with further details about this record, as well as promoting other releases by Mondo.

In addition, there is a folded sheet with an image of The Beach on the front, credits for each track inside, and credits for the vinyl release on the back.
