Today we are looking at, O by SSION. Released by Dero Arcade as catalog number DOA-010 in 2018. 

The cover has a painting of a man holding a sign. The back contains the artist name, album title, and tracklist.

This release includes a poster with a photo of the artist, looking forlorn. 

A printed inner sleeve is included with a photo of the artist and credits on the front, and the lyrics on the back.

The album is pressed on blue for sides a, and b.

Reveal 0474: Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion

Today we are looking at, Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective. Released by Domino as catalog number DNO219 in 2009. 

The cover has a repeating psychedelic pattern. The back repeats the pattern. Opening the gatefold reveals photos of leaves, and a diver.

This release includes two printed inner sleeves, the first contains the tracklist for the first record, the second contains the tracklist for the second record on the front, and the credits on the back.

The album is pressed on two black 180g records for sides A, B, C, and D.

Reveal 0205: Future - DS2

Today we are looking at, DS2 by Future. Released by Epic as catalog number 88875127251 in 2015. This is the deluxe edition of this album.

This release includes two printed inner sleeves, with photos of the artist, and the credits for the album. The album is pressed on translucent blue for sides A, and B, and translucent purple for sides C, and D.

Reveal 0134: Gremlins (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Today we are looking at, the Gremlins Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith. Released by Mondo as catalog number MOND-083 in 2016.

This is the deluxe edition from Mondo. The cover has an image of Spike, with invisible UV sensitive writing which will be revealed when exposed to sunlight (not seen here). The back contains the tracklisting, as well as an image of Gizmo strung up with Christmas lights, with additional UV sensitive writing (not seen here), the full scene is revealed across the outer gatefold. Opening the gatefold reveals an illustration of the moment the Gremlins hatched from their pods.

This release included an OBI strip with release information.

This release includes two printed inner sleeves, the front of each contains water sensitive writing (not seen here), with Gizmo on the first, and Spike on the second. While the back of the first contains the album credits, and the back of the second containing the musician credits.

The album is pressed on 2 LPs, the first is brown and white swirl, or Mogwai, for sides A and B. The second is pressed on green and white swirl, or Gremlins, for sides C and D.

Reveal 0042: Hannah Diamond - Reflections (Deluxe Edition)

Today we are looking at, the limited deluxe edition of Reflections by Hannah Diamond. Released by PC Music as catalog number PC036D in 2020, for this original 2019 digital release.

This marks her first full length release, and the deluxe edition was limited to 500 copies. The entire package is housed in a printed foil outer bag, with a repeating Hannah Diamond logo pattern on the front and back.

The cover has an image of Hannah sitting on a crescent moon, cropped further than the digital or standard edition vinyl release. This copy was signed by the artist on the cover. The back shows a shimmering diamond. The inside of the gatefold has this image of Hannah holding a star crystal.

This release includes a poster for the album, with the lyrics on the back with a color treatment that reveals a heart shaped lock in the middle. There are also 9 more posters representing the tracks on the album. My copy contained two copies of the ‘Never Again’ poster, and is missing the ‘Love Goes On’ poster.

Also included is a printed inner sleeve, with a message from Hannah Diamond on the front which is reversed, and the text faded, on the back. The album is pressed on crystal clear, with a Hannah Diamond logo on side One, and the tracklisting on side Two, surrounding a modified USB logo with key, heart, and heart lock.

Reveal 0001: Persona 5 Soundtrack - Deluxe Edition

Today, we are looking at the Persona 5 Soundtrack, composed by Meguro, Shoji at Atlus, and released by iam8bit as catalog number 8bit-8069…

This release is the deluxe limited edition of the soundtrack, containing 6 LPs in a box set. 

The cover art has a lenticular image of the Phantom Thieves, which changes between the masked and un-masked versions of each as you move across the image horizontally.

Additional Items in the box set include a ransom-letter style sticker sheet, for creating your own message on the back of the box set, in response to how the soundtrack makes you feel.  A calling card containing a message of gratitude from Meguro, Shoji is included in the box set as well. 

The box has a fabric strap for removing the 6 LPs, revealing the plaid pattern used to line the inside of the box underneath.

There are 4 sleeves representing the outfits of 4 of the phantom thieves, the final 2 sleeves are for the confidants Caroline and Justine.

The first record is contained in a sleeve representing Joker’s outfit. The back has the track listing, with Joker’s mask representing side A, and Sakamoto, Ryuji’s mask representing side B. This record is pressed on Black.

The next sleeve shows Takamaki, Ann’s outfit, with Ann’s mask, and Morgana’s mask representing sides C and D, respectively, of this Grey pressed LP.

Next has Kitagawa, Yusuke’s outfit on the front of the sleeve. With his mask, and Niijima, Makoto’s mask representing sides E and F. This one is pressed on clear.

Last of the phatom theives records has Sakura, Futuba on the cover. Sakura, Futuba’s mask is used to denote side G, with Okumuru, Haru’s mask used for side H. A translucent red is used for this record.

The final two records are housed in sleeves representing the confidants Caroline and Justine. Caroline’s cap letters, X-M-R-N note the first record containing sides I and J. Finally, Justine’s cap letters O-Y-O-O are used for the final record containing sides K and L. Both of these records are pressed on translucent blue.
