Reveal 0438: Joris Voorn - Nobody Knows

Today we are looking at, Nobody Knows by Joris Voorn. Released by Green as catalog number GR106LP in 2015. 

The cover has a pink sky over a city. The back continues the scene, spanning across the outer gatefold. Opening the gatefold reveals flowers.

Three printed inner sleeves were included, with different photographs on the front and back of each.

The album is pressed on three black records for sides A, B, C, D, E, and F.

Reveal 0434: Hotline Miami (Official Soundtrack)

Today we are looking at, the Hotline Miami (Official Soundtrack) by Various Artists. Released on vinyl by Laced Records with no catalog number in 2016, for this original 2013 digital release. This is the Collector's Edition Vinyl, first pressing, funded through Kickstarter, and limited to 5,000 copies.

The cover has a character being vaporized. The back contains the tracklist. Opening the tri-fold reveals a different character on each panel; Horse, Rooster, Owl.

The cover designs span across both the inner gatefold and outer gatefold.

Each record is housed in a double sided slipcase for each character from the inner gatefold, with the font showing a normal view, with a beast mode on the back.

The album is pressed on red translucent for sides 1A and 1B, black for sides 2A and 2B, and yellow translucent for sides 3A and 3B.

Reveal 0135: The Band - The Last Waltz

Today we are looking at, The Last Waltz by The Band. Reissued by Rhino Records as catalog number RR1 3146 in 2013, for this original 1978 release.

The cover has the text and silhouetted band members in gold on a black background in the center. The back contains the members of The Band, as well as the guest musicians that performed at this farewell show.

This release includes a 12 page book, with images from The Last Waltz concert, album credits, and the tracklisting for the album.

The album is pressed on 3 black LPs for Record 1- Sides 1 and 2, Record 2- Sides 1 and 2, and Record 3- Sides 1 and 2.

Reveal 0024: Death Stranding - Original Score

Today we are looking at the Death Stranding Score, composed by Ludvig Forssell. Released by Mondo as catalog number MOND-177 in 2020.  This was released as a triple gatefold to cover all 29 tracks across 3 LPs.

The cover has an image of  hands amongst some floating orbs. The back has the tracklisting and album credits.

Opening the trifold shows the lyrics for BB’s Theme on the right. With the beginning of a surrealist image on the left side, which expands as the trifold is fully opened. 

The record comes with an OBI style promo, with further details about this record, as well as promoting other releases by Mondo.

In addition, there is an insert included, with a message from Ludvig Forssell on the front, and credits for each track on the back. 

The album is pressed on 3 180g LPs. Clear and black splatter for sides One and Two. Clear with gold splatter for sides Three and Four. And Clear with red splatter for sides Five and Six.

Reveal 0023: Death Stranding - Songs From the Video Game

Today we are looking at, Death Stranding - Songs From the Video Game. Released by Mondo as catalog number MOND-178 in 2020.  This was released as a triple gatefold to cover all 22 tracks across 3 LPs.

The cover has an image of Sam’s hand with the Chiral Network keys floating above. The back shows Higgs holding his golden skull mask, as well as the track listing.

Opening the trifold shows some tasty Cryptobiotes on the right side. With the beginning of a stylized landscape on the left side, which expands as the trifold is fully opened. 

The record comes with an OBI style promo strip, with further details about this record, as well as promoting other releases by Mondo.

In addition, there is a folded sheet with an image of The Beach on the front, credits for each track inside, and credits for the vinyl release on the back.

Reveal 0011: Why? - AOKOHIO

Today we are looking at, AOKOHIO by Why?. Released by Joyful Noise Recordings as catalog number JNR302 in 2019.

This is the limited edition triple 10” release, number 126 out of 1000, made available to Joyful Noise VIP members. One in five of this release were signed by Yoni Wolf, as seen in this example here.

The cover has a distorted image, harkening back to the days when home video were on VHS tapes. The back has the tracklisting, and same distorted VHS tape visual.

A booklet is included, with the lyrics and credits.

Each slipcase has an image from the accompanying videos for each set of tracks, with the labels matching an instance of the scene on the slipcase.

The album is pressed on Blue and Bone for Sides I and II. Yellow and Bone for Sides III and IV. While Red and Bone is used for sides V and VI. All sides spin at 45RPM.
