Reveal 0001: Persona 5 Soundtrack - Deluxe Edition

Today, we are looking at the Persona 5 Soundtrack, composed by Meguro, Shoji at Atlus, and released by iam8bit as catalog number 8bit-8069…

This release is the deluxe limited edition of the soundtrack, containing 6 LPs in a box set. 

The cover art has a lenticular image of the Phantom Thieves, which changes between the masked and un-masked versions of each as you move across the image horizontally.

Additional Items in the box set include a ransom-letter style sticker sheet, for creating your own message on the back of the box set, in response to how the soundtrack makes you feel.  A calling card containing a message of gratitude from Meguro, Shoji is included in the box set as well. 

The box has a fabric strap for removing the 6 LPs, revealing the plaid pattern used to line the inside of the box underneath.

There are 4 sleeves representing the outfits of 4 of the phantom thieves, the final 2 sleeves are for the confidants Caroline and Justine.

The first record is contained in a sleeve representing Joker’s outfit. The back has the track listing, with Joker’s mask representing side A, and Sakamoto, Ryuji’s mask representing side B. This record is pressed on Black.

The next sleeve shows Takamaki, Ann’s outfit, with Ann’s mask, and Morgana’s mask representing sides C and D, respectively, of this Grey pressed LP.

Next has Kitagawa, Yusuke’s outfit on the front of the sleeve. With his mask, and Niijima, Makoto’s mask representing sides E and F. This one is pressed on clear.

Last of the phatom theives records has Sakura, Futuba on the cover. Sakura, Futuba’s mask is used to denote side G, with Okumuru, Haru’s mask used for side H. A translucent red is used for this record.

The final two records are housed in sleeves representing the confidants Caroline and Justine. Caroline’s cap letters, X-M-R-N note the first record containing sides I and J. Finally, Justine’s cap letters O-Y-O-O are used for the final record containing sides K and L. Both of these records are pressed on translucent blue.
