Reveal 0337: Trixie Mattel - Two Birds, One Stone

Today we are looking at, Two Birds, One Stone by Trixie Mattel. Released by ATO Records as catalog number ATLP249 in 2018. This release combines the first two self-released albums by Trixie Mattel.

The cover has the artist name, album title for Two Birds, photos of the artist, and a glossy print signature. The back contains the artist name, album title for One Stone, tracklist, and a photo montage of the artist. Opening the gatefold reveals a photo of the artist getting ready, and a conversation between Trixie and the producer.

A poster is included with a photo representing Two Birds, and One Stone.

A sticker set is included for both releases.

This release includes a printed inner sleeve, with the lyrics for Two Birds on the front, and the lyrics for One Stone on the back.

The album is pressed on pink, exclusive to Urban Outfitters, for sides A, and B.

Reveal 0279: Pusswhip Banggang - Jambalaya

Today we are looking at, the Jambalaya single by Pusswhip Banggang. Released by Drag City as catalog number DC594 in 2014. 

The cover has the band name, single title, and the band around a bowl of the titular food. The back contains the tracklist, and a photo collage. Opening the gatefold reveals the band member photos, names, and positions.

A protective outer sleeve is included with a sticker noting that a recipe is included inside.

An insert is included with the recipe, the ingredients list is on the front, and the instructions are on the back.

The album is pressed on a shape picture disc, and spins at 45RPM, for sides Tim, and Eric...Awesome Show, Great Job!

Reveal 0004: Matt Berry - Opium

Today we are looking at, Opium by Matt Berry. Released by Acid Jazz Records as catalog number AJXLP372 in 2015. 

This is the second pressing for this original 2005 release, limited to 500 copies, with 100 sold in retail outlets, and the remaining 400 offered at Matt Berry’s February 13th 2015 performance at The Forum in London. This copy is number 487 out of 500, as printed on the back cover.

This is Matt Berry’s first full length release on Acid Jazz. The cover has a closeup of Matt Berry. With the back listing the tracks and credits, along with this image of Berry with dog and dog book.

The album is pressed on Opaque Orange for this single LP release.
