Today we are looking at, Frosting on the Beater by The Posies. Reissued by Omnivore Recordings as catalog number OVLP-292 in 2018, for this original 1993 release. This is the remastered and signed version of this album from pledge music.

An extra cover was signed and included with this release if purchased through pledge music. The cover  included with this release is slightly larger than the signed version, to accomodate this double LP release. The back contains the tracklist, and titular frosting on the beater.

This release includes a folded insert, with writings from other musicians and music reviewers, as well as notes from the band about each song. 

The album is pressed on two pink LPs, and spins at 45 RPM, for sides 1, 2, 3, and 4.

The album is pressed on 2 picture discs; with Jack on side A; Oogie Boogie on side B; Lock, Shock and Barrel on side C; and Sally on side D.

Reveal 0045: Stereolab - Transient Random-Noise Bursts With Announcements

Today we are looking at, Transient Random-Noise Bursts With Announcements by Stereolab. Released by Duophonic Ultra High Frequency Disks as catalog number D-UHF-D02 in 1993. This is the first pressing of this album.

The cover is the same as a Hi-Fi Sound Stereo Test Record from the 1960’s, with the color modified, and album name and band name added. The back contains the credits and the tracklisting, in a similar Hi-Fi test record style.

This release has two printed slip cases for the two records. The first slipcase has an image of a switch panel on the front, and some wavy lines on the back. While the second shows an image of a playing record player on the front, and some adjustment knobs on the back. The album is pressed on two black records, with the Duophonic Ultra High Frequency Disks logo on white on the first side, and the track listing for both sides contained on the back. Side 2 has a purple label, while side 4 has a red label.

Reveal 0006: Björk - Debut

Today we are looking at the debut solo release by Björk, Debut. Re-released by One Little Indian as catalog number TPLP31DMM in 2008, for this original 1993 release. This is from the Direct Metal Mastering pressing series, as noted by the sticker on the protective sleeve.

The cover has the now iconic image of Björk, along with the production number out of 1000. This one is number 176. While the back contains the tracklisting for the album with an A-side/B-side split, not reflecting the 4 sides this reissue provides for the songs.

The album is pressed on 2 200 gram LPs, and plays at 45RPM, for this ultra high fidelity reissue.
