Today we are looking at, The Divinity of Oceans by Ahab. Released by Napalm Records as catalog number NPR 300LP in 2009. This is the first pressing of this album.

The back contains the tracklisting, along with an image of the painting “Saturn Devouring His Son” by Peter Paul Rubens, in a gilded frame. Reveal 0109: Ahab - The Oath

Today we are looking at, The Oath by Ahab. Released by Deviant Records as catalog number DEV 011 in 2007, for this 2005 self released EP.

This marks their first EP prior to the release of their debut album ‘The Call of the Wretched Sea’. The cover has a scene from Moby Dick, with the band name and EP title. The back contains an illustration of a man being eaten by a fish, along with the numbering out of 150 copies. This release is housed in a folded sleeve, opening the sleeve reveals the lyrics, credits, thank you notes, and photos of the band members.

This release also includes a promotional poster of the band, along with the style of music to be expected - Nautik Funeral Doom.

Today we are looking at, The Call of the Wretched Sea by Ahab. Reissued by Napalm Records as catalog number NPR 198 LP in 2012, for this original 2006 release. This is the second edition of this album, limited to 300 copies

Inside the gatefold, the lyrics for each track are shown around images of the band. Also included are messages of thanks from the band, and a clarification for those who were unaware, “Ahab plays nautik funeral doom exclusively!”
