The cover has the band name, and the album title repeated across the front. The back contains the tracklist mixed into the same album title scribblings.

Two printed slipcases are included with the correspondence information and lush forest on the first, and the credits and burning forest on the second.

The album is pressed on two black records for sides A, B, and C, with the labels writing out, The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place, Because You Are Listening, Because You Are Breathing. The final side contains etchings of birds, and the label statement in a different order, The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place, Because You Are Breathing, Because You Are Listening.
